Results of the Contemporary Choreography Competition of the XIX Open Russian Ballet Competition “Arabesque–2026” named after Ekaterina Maximova

 

 

FIRST PRIZE for the choreographer for staging a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 200,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is shared between:
Vyacheslav Kolesnikov (Russia, Barnaul) — for the piece “Hamlet. To Be”
and Artyom Rudnichenko (Russia, Barnaul) — for the piece “A Man’s Life”

SECOND PRIZE for the choreographer for staging a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 150,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is shared between:
Kristina Chernova (Russia, Saint Petersburg) — for the piece “Once There Lived Little People”
and Alexey Morozov (Russia, Moscow) — for the piece “Did the Hooligan Know How to Love?”

THIRD PRIZE for the choreographer for staging a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 100,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is shared between:
Enzhe Abdrakhimova (Russia, Saint Petersburg) — for the piece “Madly in Love”
and Egor Berezikov (Russia, Barnaul) — for the piece “Where You Are”

FIRST PRIZE for the performer of a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 120,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is awarded to Vyacheslav Kolesnikov (Russia, Barnaul).

SECOND PRIZE for the performer of a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 100,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is shared between:
Ann-Juliet Pineiro (Brazil)
and Alexander Mikhalev (Russia, Perm).

THIRD PRIZE for the performer of a contemporary choreography piece,
amounting to 80,000 rubles, a medal, and the title of Laureate of the International Competition,
is shared between:
Ulana Dorofeeva (Russia, Saint Petersburg)
and Ruslan Nizamov (Russia, Saint Petersburg).

Decision of the STD RF (Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation)

Special Prize of the STD RF is awarded to:

  1. Egor Berezikov (Russia, Barnaul) — for the choreography of “Where You Are”

  2. Alexey Kolesnikov (Russia, Barnaul) — for performance of “Where You Are”

  3. Mikhail Fedorov (Russia, Izhevsk) — for performance and acting expressiveness in “Source Code” and “Don Quixote and Sancho Panza”

Decision of the Press Jury

To award diplomas of the press jury in the contemporary choreography competition to:

  1. Artyom Rudnichenko (Russia, Barnaul) — for the choreography of “A Man’s Life”
